handy frames and more

I just got these handy frames from Kate Teague.  They are so cool and fun to play with.  Here is a preview of these handy frames in neutral.

Here is what I did with the white on white frame.  It is a bit dramatic, but I liked the way it turned out.  This is my little Miss Bostyn waiting ever so patiently for us to take her outside to play in the pool.

I also picked up some amazing beach paper, word art, and brushes from Mary Ann Wise at DHD.  Everything made me feel so calm, cool, and relaxed.  Doesn't this make you want to go running out to the beach?  This is Tate and Bostyn walking down the beach at Hualalai.

Sorry, I haven't posted about Sue Cummings' challenge and big $100 giveaway yet.  The oscraps site has been down for maintenance and I want to wait until the links are all up and running.  So stayed tuned . . .  however, their shop is working and you can grab some of her goodies here.  Here is a preview of her summer word art, special offer, and a quick layout (my mom, brother-in-law, and nephews) that I made using the beautiful mask (as seen below).

Layouts using Tina's kits

Well, it is now Friday in Hawaii and I cleared tons of things off my plate.  I think I can sleep peacefully tonight.  I just wanted to share some layouts that I made using Creations by Tinamarie kits.  You can find them in her Little Dreamer Designs shop at 25% off for this first week.

I'll be back tomorrow to post about a challenge offered by Sue Cummings to win a $100 shopping spree at her store at oscraps . . .

Welcome Creations by Tinamarie!!

Over the past few years of digi scrapbooking, I have made some really nice friends.  One of them happens to be Tina.  You might have seen some of my past posts that showcases some of her designs as a Little Dreamer Apprentice.  Well, she finally has her own shop at LDD and asked me (along with some other fabulous ladies) to be on her creative team!!  Yippie!!  Today is her grand opening and she has some fun things going on.  Check out her blog for a cool challenge and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

It is now 2:30am here in Hawaii and I need to get some rest.  I'll be back later tomorrow with some layouts made with Tina's new releases.

4th of July

We went to Turtle Bay Resort for our little 4th of July staycation.  We had a great time relaxing and swimming.  Bostyn really enjoyed her time in the keiki pool.  It was just her size, 1.5 feet deep.  On the 4th, we went out to their events lawn and enjoyed some ono'licious food and fireworks.

Here are some layouts that I've done using some new Design House Digital goodies.

I'll be back tomorrow for a big announcement of a new store and sale.

Design House Digital

When I started scrapbooking with my computer nearly 21 months ago, I never imagined how far my layouts have gone and how many people have viewed them.  I'm glad to know that I will forever have my precious memories of Bostyn preserved for her and future generations.

A few weeks ago, I got an email from Gennifer, who asked me to join her design team at Design House Digital.  I was completely confused as to how she could pick me out of the hundreds and thousands of beautiful pages in the galleries.  I have a very simple style, nothing fancy, no crazy clustering, etc.  Just a mom saving her memories.  With this wonderful offer, I did not know if I would have enough time to commit.  After looking at their site and goodies, I could not let this opportunity slip away from me.  It was such an honor for her to invite me to their team.  I still plan on giving my 100% to my other designers, Sue and Che (and a new one opening up shop real soon).  I will also save time for Leiko because I know her fingers must be itching for a return.  For now, we can just enjoy her freebies from her blog.  They all have such wonderful designs that I enjoy working with and the other fabulous team members that I have become friends with.

Here are a few layouts that I have done with my new goodies from Design House Digital.

This is the cutest kit, Pretty Posy, by Carina Gardner.  I love the fresh colors of this one.

This is me back in March 1976.  I loved the retro look to this kit, Mod Flowers, by Audrey Neal.

Please have a safe and fun 4th of July.  We are going on a mini stay-cation at Turtle Bay Resort for the holiday. I'll be back next week with hopefully more photos and layouts to share.

as bostyn naps . . .

Bostyn has been taking these awesome naps lately.  The other day, she slept for 4 hours.  Today she is already past 2 hours.  She is comfortably sleeping on my bed with the A/C on.  These nap times have given me valuable time to catch up on my little hobby.

Angie, of Twelve by Twelve Designs, has a new freebie kit on her blog.  This one is a beauty.  I hope she continues to smile and have days filled with lots of hugs from her daughter.

Catscrap is having a blog hunt and it is filled with wonderful quick pages made by their wonderful creative team.  I won't tell you where to find this cutie of a page, you have to find it yourself.  You can start at the catscrap blog.  In this layout are my nephews, Josh and Luke, taking their first dip in the ocean.

Here is another layout using Che's Wildflower kit, available at mscraps.

Finally, a layout for my brother-in-law and his new wife.

Alaska Pics

I finally had some time to edit and post some pictures from Alaska.  I love using these blog templates from mcp actions but this is the only one I have since it was free.

Mendenhall Glacier and Orca sighting in Auke Bay, Juneau

White Pass & Yukon Route, Skagway

Misty Fjords, Ketchikan

"Bostyn kiss the froggy."

Bostyn had more fun playing with her hat and mittens on the ship than out in the cold.

One of my favorite photos of Bostyn from our trip.
