Back on land

Well, I'm back at home safe and sound.  We had an awesome trip filled with nature, glaciers, endless amount of food, and a little bit of adventure.  I will get into this a little bit later after I have time to edit some photos.  I do have some unedited photos on my facebook page.

For now, I just wanted to share Che's latest kit, Wildflowers.  I just checked, it is still on sale for $3.99.

Here is my layout:

A few other creative team members created free quickpages, please go to their blogs to download.

It is always fun to dig into your stash of your favorite designers and find new wonders.  I did this layout using some of Sue's "older" goodies for a scraplift challenge.  I lifted Heather's amazing layout, What Are Friends For.

Watercolor Fun!

I just purchased this new kit called Watercolor by Kotozebra Designs and had tons of fun creating these layouts.  This is not my usual scrapping style but I do love playing and experimenting with different techniques.

Here is my little Bostyn

My little nephews flying away.

Bostyn always puckers up for kisses.  When she gets tired of giving them she just turns to her cheek.

Here are some other recents layouts.

This is for Tiffany's 25 Days of Summer Template Class.  Day no. 1 completed . . . 24 more to go.  I didn't do much to change the template because it was already so beautifully designed.  (I may go back and redo this page because I noticed that my horizon line is not straight and now it is bothering me.)

Leiko has another new word art free on her blog.  I recolored it to match Che's Lazy Days kit.  This is a picture of Tate and Bostyn playing in the pool at Ko'olina Beach Club.

Here are my little nephews once again.  They are such happy beings, most of the time.  They just left for home in California yesterday.  Bostyn was so sad that she cried for 20 minutes before falling asleep for her morning nap.  She then sobbed for another hour in her sleep.  It was so sad.  Bostyn sure had fun being the big cousin.

Here are my parents holding 3 out of their 4 grandchildren.  All we need is cousin Nicholas in the picture.  Do you think I can photoshop him in?

I think I am all caught up now.  We board the plane on Saturday and set sail on Sunday.  I'll post some Alaska pictures when I return.

Are you ready for summer?

Are you ready for summer?  My favorite part of summer is being on vacation.  This summer we will be going on a cruise to Alaska.  This will be a nice break from our hot, humid, Hawaiian weather.  We fly to Seattle on Saturday and set sail on Sunday.

To welcome the lazy days of summer, Che Yang Designs came up with a super cool kit.  I love the colors on this one, such cool breezy blues and grays, with a hint of mustard yellow.  Here is the kit preview for Lazy Days:

Here is my simple layout of my two nephews enjoying their nap under the coconut trees at Ko'olina last week.

Che is having a Memorial Day sale at her store at mscraps, so head on over to enjoy 30% off her designs.

Happy Memorial Day!!!

more layouts

I feel so behind in my layouts and finally had a chance to play catch up this weekend.  Here is a fast one using Sue Cummings' May Newsletter freebie.  Here is a link to her blog so you can sign up for her newsletter.

Creations by Tina Marie is in the finals of the Little Dreamer Designs Apprentice Program.  Here is new full kit on sale for only $2.  I was able to complete 2 layouts using this kit.

You should have seen my face when I saw Leiko's new blog and Stroked v.1 word art set.  Does this mean a return to the design world?  I totally hope so.  Here is Leiko's blog so you can get this darling set of word art.

By the way, Leiko took this picture of my little girl when we were on the Big Island. sigh

Mini Stay-cation

We just returned from a 2 night mini stay-cation at the Ko'olina Beach Club.  Bostyn loved the extra large bed, many pools, sandy lagoon, and fish ponds.  Here are a few photos of our trip.

They had a little jungle gym set for the kiddies.  Bostyn loved the slide, can't you tell.

My dad and mom had a great time taking care of 3 children.  We had to take this photo early in the morning while all 3 kiddies were awake and in a happy place.

This was Bostyn's favorite pool because of the many waterfalls to play under.

Here are my two little nephews, Josh and Luke.  Aren't they adorable?

This shot is just of Luke because he was so happy this morning.

I had a massage at the spa and this is what I returned to . . . 3 sleeping babies at the beach

Run in Circles

Wow, I am just in love with Che's latest collaboration kit with Elisa of EHStudios.  It is so perfect for the numerous family photos that I have.  There are 4 fun and fabulous templates that are free with the kit.  You can get this kit at their store at mscraps.

Here is a super fast layout that I whipped together in minutes using the top left template.

I'll be back to post new layouts.  The possibilities are endless with this one.

Che is now at mscraps

Sorry, I've been behind in my posting of all my favorite scrapping.  To start, Che Yang Designs moved to mscraps.  She has two new kits . . . beautiful as always.  The colors are always so soft and a delight to play with.

The first kit is Smiles & Joy . . .

I made these two layouts.

Tender Moments

I did this layout for a speed scrap challenge at mscraps.

Now for Sue Cummings . . . She has a guest designer, Danielle Young, who participated in week no. 17 of Project 52.

Here is a layout that I did using blending modes for the oscraps creative techniques challenge.

I'll be back later to post on some fun freebies . . .
