Hello there??  Anyone still checking in on my little blog.  Well, its been 2 years since I last shared.  I really haven't done much scrapbooking lately since I went back to work full time.

Here's a quick layout using Caroline by Felicity Jane.  Every month, Felicity Jane puts out an amazing scrapbooking kit.  I love the colors and all the unique details that I can't stop my subscription, even if I only made a full layouts with my full year of kits.  Please check out her kits when you have time.

Thanks for stopping by . . .

Little Lamm Co.

I'm dusting this off after a much needed break and back with a new team, Little Lamm Co.  This is a little store that I found on Etsy and has the most beautiful designs.  I'm excited to be on this team and can't wait to see what this year brings.

My first kit assignment was For Mom/Mum.  It comes just in time to have something for my mom on Mother's Day.  Completing this layout, reminded me that I need to scrap not just of Bostyn or my hubby but also other family members so that my memories of them will live on in my scrapbooks.

Glitz Catch Up

Sorry, my last post was in February.  Hold onto your seats, I'm going to show you a bunch of all digital layouts that I've done for Glitz Designs.

Here are two hybrid layouts for Glitz Designs.  This means, digital papers and elements printed out then put together like a traditional scrapbook.

Can you tell that I really like a white background?

Valentine's Mini

I don't do hybid mini albums very often, but when I got Glitz's new Black & White digital collection I was so inspired.  I tend to like my layouts with a clean white base so this collection suited my style quite nicely.  Here it is to inspire all of you . . .

So here is my mini pocket album, cut file by Lori Whitlock.  It has some simple elements and journaling cards cut with my Silhouette.  It is layered on the pages and inside the pockets.

Supplies:
Glitz Design "Black & White" Element 1 & 2
Glitz Design "Wild and Free" Giant Rhinestone
Other:  mini pocket album by Lori Whitlock, Divine Twine

There some great challenges and prizes to be won on the Glitz blog.  Go check it out here!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Pink, neutral, gold and/or silver

Glitz is up this week with a new challenge.  Play along with the design team to create a layout, card, hybrid, project etc. following the Glitz theme for the week.  This week it is all about pink, neutral, silver and/or gold.  This was a fun color combination to work with.

This is what I came up with.

I really loved this soft grey paper from "Yours Truly" and the heart paper from "Hello Friend."  I think those two papers work gorgeously together.

Supplies:
Glitz Design "Yours Truly" paper pack and element pack 2
Glitz Design "Hello Friend" full collection
Others: Stitches by Karla Dudley, Brad Maker by Vinnie Pearce, and Bit Worn Mask by Valorie Wibbens

I hope you join in the fun.  I can't wait to see what you create.  Please refer to the Glitz blog for full challenge details and link to submit your projects.

Hello 2014

Happy New Year!

I'm so not good with making resolutions for the new year.  I don't really stick to them.  For the last two years, I've selected one little word to focus.  2012 was balance.  I wanted to find more balance with work, motherhood, and my creative endeavors.  2013 was color.  I wanted to add more color to my life, clothing, style, scrapbooking, new adventures.  As for 2014, I have yet to decide.  For now, I'll leave you with my Glitz Design layout to start 2014.

This is a "hybrid" layout, meaning I took a digital kit, arranged it in photoshop, then printed and layered my page together.  I even used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the map and hello.  I then stuck it in a page protector, ready for Project Life 2014.

Supplies:
Glitz Design "Color Me Happy" Elements pack 2
Glitz Design "Wild and Free" Paper Pack
Glitz Design "Wild and Free" Element pack 1
Glitz Design "Wild and Free" Giant Rhinestones
Others:  Studio Calico wood veneers

Ooops backtrack, here is a layout to document December 2013.  We had a great Christmas filled with many great memories.  It was the first year Twinkles the elf came to stay with us.  She brought a Disney ornament filled with a special gift each day in December.  Bostyn was thrilled with her many gifts she received and especially loved her lemonade stand from Santa.

Merry Christmas 2013

Just wanted to share our Christmas card taken by Lisa, Utopia Photography.  She has taken our Christmas pictures every year in October since Bostyn was a week old.  Lisa takes the photo using only black and white film so we're never sure what we're getting but we trust in her that it will all turn out great.

Here are a few Christmas layouts and a few hybrid stuff that I worked on this past month.  They were all made using mostly Glitz Designs "Hello December" digital kit.

See you all in 2014!

Love,
Kym, Tate, and Bostyn

Glitz - Finnley Blog Hop

It's a Glitz Design Blog Hop!

Hello Friends, meet Finnley!

There is so much to love in this collection!  From the on trend colors, woodland creatures, feathers, and triangles, what's not to love.  Here is my layout using only this one kit.  Plus a few gold ink splatters from Piccadilly (collab by the designers from P&Co.)

This photo was taken last weekend for a mother - daughter tea party.  I couldn't resist using Finnley to remember this special day for the two of us.  I really wanted to use the cute doe and fawn 3x4 card.

Keep hopping on and leave a comment for your chance to win a Finnley collection (traditional or digital) prize pack.  The more comments you leave along the way, the better your chances of winning.

Here is the list of blogs in case you get lost.

Let's talk about inks, paints and mists

So let's talk about paint and misting.  Why?  Because Glitz is having an inks, paints and mists feature on their blog.

Although, my assignment was to feature Cashmere Dame collection over at Jessica Sprague for One Buck Wednesday, I really wanted to share a few things regarding this.  On my digital layouts, I almost always include some type of ink splatter, watercolor paints, or mists.  I love digital painting and inking because I feel like I have so much control.  Undo is powerful, layers are awesome, and so is your opacity.  Love also the fill button.  I have unlimited amount of color choices and I can change them so easily on a layout using the fill button w/out having to trash a whole background paper.  I really like the look of paint on real paper but I have the hardest time incorporating that into my real paper layouts.

So onto OBW at Jessica Sprague.  You can get the Cashmere Dame Papers for only $1 today (Wednesday).  The element pack 1 is also on sale for $2.50.  Or you can just get the whole collection here.  Here is my layout.  In this layout you can see that I have some very subtle black ink splatters that give just a little contrast to such a muted page.

Here is another layout that I did using Color Me Happy in which I used a watercolor brush and went crazy happy with color onto my background.

I also did this layout for The Ardent Sparrow's new release called, The Savannah.  I also took my watercolor brush then used it as a clipping mask for a piece of cloud paper in the kit.  I loved the way it turned out.

If you never tried digital watercolor brushes before, don't worry because Rebeccah, The Ardent Sparrow, just released some Watercolor Templates at The Lilypad.  Here is my layout using Going Places (The Ardent Sparrow and One Little Bird collab).

Ah, mists . . . one of my favorites!  My favorite go to for mists are from Gennifer Bursett.  She has some really cool ones.  Here's a preview of one set that she has and below is how I used it.  Very stubble effect, huh.

Dusting off this blog

Dusting off this blog . . . just to announce that I've joined Glitz Digital Design Team!  You can read more about me here on Glitz Design blog page.  During this past year, I've been playing more with real paper and came across a lot of paper brands, one of them happen to be Glitz.  I saw a few peeks of their new paper collections and fell in love.  I had no idea that they even sold their digital designs at Jessica Sprague.  It was purely coincidence when Glitz contacted me and invited me to join their digital team.  It was an offer that I couldn't refuse.  I had already known about some fab collections soon to hit the market, Wild and Free, Raven, etc. and to have those in digital form would be a dream.

So here my first layout as a Glitz Digital Design Team member.  This layout is using Yours Truly Paper Pack which is on sale today at Jessica Sprague for One Buck Wednesday.  You can also get their element 1 and element 2 packs.  The template is by Sahlin Studio and the stitches are by Robyn Meierotto.

I'm still doing creative team work for Gennifer Bursett.  Here are a few of my favorite pages done for Gennifer.

Here are a few more favorite layouts that I've done for The Ardent Sparrow.

And finally a few layouts done with real paper.

Thank you for hanging in there with all these photos.  I promise to blog more regularly.  See you next time!
